Blank. The beginning of something.

I really can't sit alone. With my thoughts.

This could be true for many of us out there. Music in the background, a movie or series running while we work, talking with our colleagues, or calls to our loved ones in case of WFH like me. Reading a book, listening to a podcast, or just talking to some person. Scrolling social media endlessly,  looking for inspiration elsewhere, and getting overwhelmed by the amount of content over there. Everything except just sitting by yourself.

Not sure if you should add on to the existing heap of content,  but also thinking you should just give it a go. An imposter syndrome of sorts, and a sudden feeling of pointlessness.

Well, when you sit and try to have a rational chat with your mind, it'll surely convince you to be just another gear to keep the world going.

But sometimes,  if you dare, and if you just open your notebook or notes and unleash the voice in you that was desperate for a channel, maybe you'll end with something like I did:

"Staring at a blank page,

Better than staring at nothing at all.

At least you made an effort,

To process your thoughts and get them out.

Rather than letting it slowly brew inside your mind,

The doubts wallowing in your head,

Will find an outlet,

But only if you dare to open,

And stare at the blank page."

Sometimes, we just need to start doing it. Whatever it is, all it takes to keep the dominoes moving is a little push.
